successful under 19's team coached by Sean Chapman.
Amos was included in this season's first
team squad list on many occasions due to the embargo placed on the
club, first being a non-playing substitute in Boro's home
match vs Harrogate Town in November.
He made two sub appearances totalling 12 minutes

appearances he made, making a string of saves and showing
confidence and maturity beyond his years.
Still only 18, 6' 4" Aspden has only appeared in
the first team at the KC Stadium once, as a non-playing substitute
last April.
He helped Boro's defence to 5 clean sheets in
his 12 games played for us, before being prematurely recalled by

Beadle broke into the Boro starting XI in 05-06 following a year of reserve team football, at times
captaining Boro's second string.
He made five appearances and three as
sub in 05-06, having made his Boro debut at the back end of the
04-05 season
as a sub in the 4-0 win over Farnborough.
He moved up in stature during 06-07, playing in
a variety of positions over 38 starts and 5 sub appearances. He also
scored his first Boro goals in the season, with a brace away at
Lancaster in a 5-1 win. He was the only player during the whole
season to score twice in one game. He scored two more, away at
Gainsborough and at home against Leigh RMI.
He was voted as Young Player of the Year
following a good season.
At the end of the season he left the club
temporarily to sign for Swedish club Ange IF, who play their
football during the summer. He will return to Boro in October.

Conference North games during 06-07, scoring a few goals at
important times, including his first Boro goal in the 3-0 home win

Was back for a third spell with the club after
originally being released at the end of last season, but played just
three times this season for Boro before deciding to drop down a
level following poor form.
A former Leeds United junior, he first played
for Boro in the 00-01 season, making his debut at Woking in March,
racking up 60 appearances before his release in February 2003. He
then spent a week at Yeovil Town, before moving onto Doncaster,
Tamworth, Halifax and Alfreton, arriving back at Boro on loan in
March 2006.
He has played a total of 67 games, plus 12 as
substitute, for Boro, scoring 8 goals.

Brisco is a tall midfielder who began his career
at Manchester City as a trainee.
He didn't play a first team match for City, but
moved to Port Vale after his release and played 120 times in the
Vale first team, scoring twice, over a six season spell. As Vale's
number 7, he played as sub against Boro in 2003 in the club's FA Cup
2nd Round win of that season, on the way to the 4th Round versus
Chelsea.
He was released by Vale at the end of that
season and signed for Rochdale at the start of 04-05. After just ten
games he was loaned to Northwich twice during the season, and played
11 times, scoring once against York City, before returning to
Spotland in March and playing two more games at the end of the
season for Rochdale.
He spent the entire 05-06 season at Rochdale
playing 17 times, many alongside fellow Boro new boy Lee Cartwright.
He signed for Boro on the eve of the 06-07 following his release
from Rochdale.
After playing just five games for Boro he left
in October to start his own business, leaving no time for playing
football. However, he did appear for Barrow later in the season.

Having been released by Rochdale at the end of

playing-coaching deal at Boro for season 06-07.
He made over 450 appearances, scoring 30 goals,
for first club Preston North End over a ten year period, and became
a legend at Deepdale. Following his release in 2004 he made 36
appearances for Stockport County in 18 months, and then 23 starts at
Rochdale.
He played almost every Boro game during the
season, indeed he only missed 135 minutes of football all season. A
great credit to him at 35 years of age. He also weighed in with four
goals.
At the end of the season he was named as the
Supporters and Player's Player-of-the-Year.

Cook broke through into the Boro team last
season as cover for Kevin Nicholson, making his debut in a 4-0
defeat at Woking in October 2005.
He played 12 times for Boro last season, being
booked 4 times and being sent-off once - in the home derby draw with
York City.
He is the son of Boro legend and current
Football in the Community Officer Mitch Cook, who plied his trade in
midfield for Boro in the successful team of the mid 1980's.
He was in and out of the side during 06-07 due
to lack of form and injury, and has traded the number 3 shirt back
and forth with fellow left-footer Sean Davies. However he did more
often than not become the first choice left-back, and at times also
played further forward. He scored his first Boro goal in the 1-1
draw at Alfreton in March.
At the end of the season he left the club to
pursue a career and life in Australia.

made his first appearance in the first team in a friendly against
Bridlington Town.
He made his first team debut as a sub in the 3-1
defeat at Kettering Town in September, and has progressed to make
his full debut, impressing with his ball-winning skills.
Away at Hyde United in December he scored his
first Boro goal in a 1-1 draw, become Boro's youngest ever
competitive match scorer at the age of 16 years, 8 months and 9
days.
He followed this up with the winning goal and a
man of the match performance against Redditch three days later, and
another goal away at Rushden in the FA Trophy defeat. Three goals in
seven days!
Scouts from higher teams, notably Sheffield
United and Blackburn (were he has spent trial periods),
have been to take a look at him. Not bad for a lad still at school!

for York in Boro's 5-1 demolition of the Minstermen. In total he
played 23 matches for York before his release.
At the start of 05-06 he had a pre-season at
Cambridge United, but was not signed despite a promising run of
performances.
He played in the majority of Boro's matches
earlier this season, swapping the left-back role with Carl Cook, and

A former Leeds United Junior, he appeared for
the Elland Road club three times as sub, twice in Champions League
matches against Barcelona and Lazio!
He was originally signed on loan from Notts
County in March 2004, but impressed enough to earn a contract for
the following season. During 04-05 he scored 9 goals in 33
appearances for Boro, but following a change of position to midfield
and lack of form he scored just 3 in 37 games during 05-06.
He scored his first goal of the season as a sub
at Nuneaton Borough, and the majority of his nine goals came away
from home, with only two scored at the McCain Stadium. This may have
been due to the constant pressure and unfair barracking from fans at
the McCain Stadium at times. Tony felt more confident and under less
pressure away from home and able to flourish, such as his
man-of-the-match performance and superb goal at Hucknall Town in the
last game of the season.

He then moved to Forest Green Rovers and Halifax
before arriving back at Boro in January 2006.
He has made over 400 appearances in his career,
and along with the captaincy at Boro in 06-07, he also took

made his debut as sub at Worksop.
He was a junior at Liverpool and but made his
senior debut after signing a one year deal at Grimsby Town in August
2000. He was a regular scorer in reserve football, and eventually
broke into the Grimsby first team on 30th October 2001, making his

He made 9 appearances for Grimsby, scoring once,
before being released and dropping into the Conference with
Northwich in August 2003. He played just 18 times in two seasons at
Northwich, scoring 5 goals, before a move to Chorley at the start of
the 05-06 season.
There he scored 13 goals in 31 games before his
move to Boro on 11th August 2006.
He became Boro's top scorer in 06-07 after
scoring 15 goals, including six penalties. However is fitness and
form was up and down and he was played in a withdrawn forward's role
through much of the second half of the season which hampered his
chances of reaching 20 goals.

Lee came to Boro in April 2006 from
Rotherham United but didn't make the first team squad. He made a few
appearances in the reserves however and was invited back for
pre-season training in July 2006.
He instantly became a hit - scoring two
hat-tricks in games against Northallerton and Rossington, along with
4 more in other games.
In the season proper he struggled to come to
terms with the step up through the leagues, and was in and out of
the team in the early months. When he did break through he scored
three in three before an injury after his goal against Hinckley at
home in December practically ended his season.
That was a shame as he had just hit form, and
although he made a sub appearance at Barrow in March he played no
further part in any game, and was on crutches for the rest of the
season, awaiting his ankle injury to heal properly.
