Despite his size (just 5' 11") Hotte is one of
non-league's toughest defenders and isn't afraid to mix it with
bigger players, as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink found out during Boro's
FA Cup 4th Round tie with Chelsea in 03-04. Hotte marked the Dutch
international out of the game.
He signed for Boro from Oldham (for whom he made
over 60 appearances), in January 2002. In a three season spell he
played 140 times before being released at the end of 04-05.
He spent 05-06 at York City (16 apps) before
falling out of favour ay Kit Kat Crescent and being re-signed by
Boro for the start of this season.
An ever present at the heart of Boro's defence
so far this season, he continues to show consistency and courage to
the cause. |
